but in reality, definitely fly me (or whoever you trust with your wedding photography) out a day or two before the wedding. you never know if flights will get cancelled, they’ll be rental car issues, sickness from a new environment, or so many other factors. I love being able to show up a couple days before because I feel more comfortable with my environment and don’t have to use google maps much on the day of your wedding. PLUS it never hurts to give your photographer time to scope out your venues and attend your rehearsal/welcome party ;)

it’s that time of year!!!!

I seriously LOVE in-home sessions because they show SO much more of your life.

I’ve have multiple people tell me they don’t love the way their apt/home looks so they’d rather just wait til next summer, totally valid! but I stand by the idea that you will want your home documented no matter what stage it is in. a recent shoot I did the mom wanted to bake w her fam, but was nervous to do it at her house cuz she didn’t love the color of her kitchen cupboards. I encouraged her that she wouldn’t be focusing on something that minuscule when she looked back at her photos, but the joy her family had in her little kitchen. long story short, she was very happy with the photos when she got them back, and thanked me for reminding her, her home is beautiful because of the people inside of it 🫶🏼

I seriously LOVE in-home sessions because they show SO much more of your life.

i've been able to work with so many small families recently + it has brought me SO MUCH joy. it is a gift to be welcomed into your home and take pictures as you simply live your lives together. regardless of how "picture-worthy" you think your home is, it IS picture-worthy. these are the walls you are raising your child(ren) within and these are the memories you will want to have forever

wow, the you is crazy to look back at. I first picked up a professional camera at my work study job freshman year where I specialized in video and graphic design 🤯 ik a lil different from what I do now.

I went into that job basically clueless on everything I was doing, but excited to learn it all. in the first photo of me back then, my friend was literally walking me around campus showing me what shutter speed, aperture, iso, and everything else did in different situations. I was overwhelmed to say the least, but she was incredibly patient.

slowly I shifted from video and campus life to couples to families to weddings to everything in between. and now I get to walk with you through life’s most precious moments that you never want to forget. I’m so grateful for how the Lord has shifted my passions and guided me thro these seasons

I truly can’t wait to see where God continues to direct this lil business of mine and thank you for being here to follow along 🫶🏼✨

the amount of love and support I’ve received within the past week from the Christian/Catholic community absolutely blows me away 🥹😭🥹

for so long I’ve been fearful of what sharing my desires for my business super open and honestly could do. I love working with everyone and I’ve been super nervous that by opening the door to the Catholic world, I would deter many others.

my heart is fully in Catholic weddings because I get to witness the beauty of two souls entering into the sacrament of marriage and fully starting their vocation together. but I am just as grateful when couples of other faiths open their hearts and allow me to witness their special days as well. regardless of if you share my Catholic faith or not, all my art is to glorify the love of God as He loves each and everyone of you so well
